Margaret Slupska, PhD

Margaret is a microbiologist with expertise in anaerobic and aerobic fermentation, thermophilic archaea, and biological process optimization. She has led the Fermentation Facility at BP Biofuels and directed R&D for the POET-DSM cellulosic ethanol facility, later serving as Director of Fermentation and Process Development at Meati and CTO of Adamo Foods.

She holds a PhD from the University of Warsaw and completed postdoctoral fellowships at UCLA and UC Berkeley. She is co-author of more than 20 scientific publications with over 1,900 citations and co-inventor on multiple international patent families.

At Alchemyca she serves as lead scientist and experimental design lead, grounding the platform's models in real fermentation biology.
